My head is spinning from too much Internet...
Randomly, orangutans are really adorable and are always so expressive. This little one just looks unamused/disturbed. I tried to find the best equivalent for my state of mind.
So, I've been visiting a health pod, and recently, I was introduced to the idea of detoxification. Well, I rather regret visiting http://www.drnatura.com considering the graphic pictures of peoples' bowel movements that they post online. *shudder* That aside, I was wondering if people on my friends list have had experiences, information, or resources that they could share regarding the subject. So far, I'm not convinced that spending $200 on an herbal product is worthwhile. I guess I'd like to hear reason why they're important.
And, I'm revisiting my French today. I had to write to my French family (the one that hosted me while I stayed in Poitiers) and wow... my French is way too rusty. My head hurts, even after lots of help from a dictionary and grammar book. It makes me sad, and inspires me to save some money and finally live my dream. I've always wanted to hike/hillwalk in some of the remote parts of France.... but I'm definitely not in the shape for it, nor do I have the cash to spare. It would be lovely.

You don't have to spend a lot of money to detox. Email me and I will give you something simple to do.
Love ya!
You don't have to spend tons on detox stuff!!! Drink only the purest water - 10-12 glasses a day for a week and no heavy foods for 2-3 days, of course exercise - I have an exercise bike & walk a lot. But do something to really get your body heat up & heart working. Of course do not overdo.
The drink: grated - I tab. fresh ginger, 2 tab. lemon juice, 1/4 tab. cayanne, 1-2 tab honey, into 1 qrt boiling water. Let cool to drink. One day juice fast. Apple Juice is best. Cereal - Allbran every breakfast for 3-4 days. Multi-vit. daily. Make some fresh pureed carrot soup - yum!

Wow, thanks, ladies. I knew I'd find someone on my friends list that was in the know.
Why do you detox? Is it something you should do frequently…? *confused and intrigued*
I was half listening the other day to a lady on tv who was talking about detoxing with raw foods. She mentioned how most of what we eat today was never meant for human consumption. Eh……but I prolly started vaccuuming at that point.
At any rate I had never heard of the raw food movement until I came on Zaadz. At first I was like……….ewwwwwww……..yuck……..I like my meat cooked. But then of course I read further and found that it means our yummie fruits and veggies.
I had heard about vegans just a bit before Zaadz, but it really was a foreign concept to me. I still struggle with it. The more I try to stay away from meat…….the more I crave it. I have skipped out on the meat portions here and there, but I am really struggling with it. And I really love animals…….I DO……what gives???
At any rate to get back on track………I really would like to look into detoxing myself……raw foods…….etc. And Spirit Flower made a great point on my blog about how eating raw also decreases waste from food containers.
But can a diet of raw food really “cleanse” you of the harmful “toxins” that we are exposed to in our everday lives? I mean, can eating a ton of herbal remedies really alleviate whatever potential symptoms could come from living in a urban environment and eating fast food?
Good point j………..
I wish I could remember who was speaking on that show. She has a book out………
I just found this blogpost from Obi………..very helpful in my striving to stop eating meat…..

Yeah, it doesn't take much for me to convert, since I don't really eat all that much meat. Chicken, turkey, and fish occasionally. I just love my dairy products, so vegan is out of the question!
I think more veggies are good for everyone! :D Thanks for the awesome link.
Peggy J’s recipe for detox was very close to mine; I use no ginger, but I do the rest. It is very good to detox your liver, gall bladder, and kidneys…I think we need to detox; We would probably wonder how our bodies could keep us alive and functioning if we were aware of how we take in toxins. Our bodies were made to expel toxins, but we are truly taxing our organs by not watching what we expose ourselves to…oh, well. Any action to help our bodies detox is a wonderful action.
Sounds good to me. However, should I expect discomfort with detoxing?
